Hello Readers.

I woke up with the thought of sharing a little insight about Artificial intelligence (AI) but decided to just do a short write-up on my history the history of AI and some  thought about AI. Yes, many people around me think  I’m a baby boomer but I am not. I was born in January of 1945, when the foundation of AI was laid by Alan Turing when he broke the German Enigma code during the world war II and proposed the concept of machine intelligence, he later went on to write ‘Intelligent Machinery’ report in 1948. I dare to say that war changes people and their outlook on life.

In my early life, I did not have the luxury of living with my Father. I knew who my father was , he was a tail gunner in ww2 stationed in England and when he came home, he divorced my mother in the first year of his return from England. A note of interest is that my grandfather was a wetback who crossed the Rio Grande and ended up getting married to a Caucasian girl who grew up and lived in Pampa,  Texas. They also got divorced.  I met her, but I never met either my Father nor Grandfather and my Father refused to meet with me many years later when I found him retired from the Air Force in Texas. However, his grandson searched me out about three years ago and we have become good friends, we enjoy sharing life experiences and advice. He is a retired Navy Chief  Officer so we had many life experiences in common since I spent four years in the USGC, mostly outside the USA.

Growing up on a farm with my grandparent was somewhat different, my mother gave me to my grandparents to raise long before my memory functions worked and they were the only parents I ever acknowledged other that later on when my birth mother was shown to me. Hell, she was more like a cousin or big sister that I saw maybe ever two or three month. I eventually realized she had created a new life with a new husband and he and I were like fire and gasoline. lol. My experience came with hilarious moments too, It was the best thing that could have happen to me. It was hard explaining to teachers, principals and adults in charge why my last name was Ramos, some authorizations signed by someone named Greer and other signed by grandparents named Duvall…..I just stood tall and told it like it was.

Back to the many muse around AI and, some say that it will destroy mankind withing ten (10) years and that it will take over the world. What is a world without constant changes. I have seen things change and the world is still changing but human have always decided how it evolves. To AI, I say either pull the electric plug from the outlet, turn off the water or build in a kill switch on every machine that relies on artificial intelligence, put the life in the hands of the users. There is no doubt that the use and knowledge that AI has provided us has improved our  way of life, it has grown the knowledge that we as humans have available to us to make out live better.

Now, back to the happening in the capitol, the Politicians on the left (dem0crats) are screaming the sky is falling and want to take control of how AI is developed and utilized in the future, along with those in in the industry who have already developed programs that are now in use by virtue of this control, this control would limit the development of new programs which would enhance our way of life.

This is my opinion based on the past. A look back in history: the atomic bomb development ended the war with Japan and was a great influence with those who helped end ww2 ( yes I went thru the duck and cover drills in school). Then we had president who came out and said beware of the industrial war complex”. Anyone remember when the USA was not in some kind of war?…….North Korea, Vietnam, the Cold War with Russia, Afghanistan, Panama and many incursion we will never even know about. Yes… we need controls on how AI is used but not control for Political dominance or financial gain….but for the betterment of mankind.

Government total control will centralize AI development and stifle the ability for creators to think out of the box, it will slow down innovation, we would be loosing AI development companies in disadvantage against countries like China because a political government control or monopoly will also stifle competitiveness and the global power race. It will encourage political bias and while encouraging government control over information. By all means, America must avoid partisan approach to technology because a centralized bureaucratic approach will not fairly manage the technology nor protect jobs.

I know this is far afield from advice on dealing with scammers and con artist on social media but thought it should be said…… Once again the best advice I can give is: do not send anything of value to someone you meet on social media until you have had an acceptable live video chat. Trust me, the odds are a 1,000 to 1 that it will LVC will not happen and the excuses will vary and look valid……I had to report and block and one or two…….Talk is cheap but gifts cost real money. Stay safe and stay SOLVENT.
